HLS 210 Fundamentals and Ethics of Homeland Security
This course provides a comprehensive examination of the fundamentals of Homeland Security, including threats, risks, and our capabilities to respond to these vulnerabilities. Among these threats are natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, and wildfires. The course also examines responses to terrorist attacks, bioterrorist attacks, including radiological, chemical, and biological. Because of the fine line between maintaining security and protecting civil liberties, the course will examine ethical issues surrounding such efforts in keeping us safe.
