Master of Science in Leadership
Trident’s Master of Science in Leadership (MSL) program is designed to provide mid-career professionals with the innovative, visionary, and transformative capabilities that will be most needed by 21st century leaders. The MSL program uses the most current leadership theory, best practices, and organizational case studies to promote student learning and to enable new leaders to best meet the diverse and multi-faceted challenges they will face in organizational leadership roles. The MS in Leadership program is centrally founded on leadership values of personal integrity, organizational ethics, and service to others.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of their program, graduates should be able to:
- Apply the leadership common body of knowledge (leadership theories, leader styles, and the impact of influence on teams) to enhance initiatives or processes within the organization.
- Effectively communicate to support organizational goals between leaders and team members.
- Synthesize complex organizational information to provide data-driven, context-specific guidance to organizational stakeholders.
- Implement organizational leadership strategies in a manner that promotes organizational effectiveness.
- Analyze data that impacts an organization from a political, economic, financial, social, cultural, geopolitical, and/or technological context for effective change management
- Demonstrate ethical leadership and decision-making through synthesis of ethical theories, values, and principles applied to complex organizational situations.
This program is not designed to meet the educational requirements for a specific professional license or certification that is required for employment in an occupation. As such, Trident has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.
