BHS 462 Environmental and Occupational Health in Public Health Practice
This advanced undergraduate course explores the convergence of environmental and occupational health within public health practice. Students will examine the historical progression, key concepts, and contemporary challenges in environmental and occupational health. Topics include air and water pollution, chemical hazards, workplace safety, toxicology, regulatory frameworks, emergency preparedness, and high-risk practices. Through case studies, policy analysis, and investigative inquiry, students will develop the skills necessary to address environmental and occupational health risks in diverse settings.
