BHS 465 Introduction to Public Health Policy

This course introduces students to the basics of public health policy. It explores how law, science, politics, and economics influence decisions about population health. Learners analyze real-world policy issues, assess the legal and evidence-based frameworks that guide public health actions, and examine how professionals can effectively shape policy development. Through practical assignments , students develop the skills to evaluate, design, and advocate for impactful and equitable public health policies.
