This course builds on foundational algebra skills and focuses on more advanced topics such as factoring techniques, rational and radical expressions and equations, relations, graphing and the study of functions including quadratic functions. Students will deepen their understanding through numerical, analytical, and graphical approaches to problem-solving, emphasizing clear mathematical communication and algebraic reasoning. Prerequisite: MAT101, equivalent, or placement test.
