Disbursements

Federal financial aid will be disbursed in accordance with applicable federal laws and regulations, U.S. Department of Education requirements, and institutional policies and procedures. Disbursement is contingent upon the student meeting all applicable eligibility requirements for the payment period, including payment period enrollment, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and required academic participation and substantive interactions, as demonstrated though the successful completion of required academic activities and deliverables.

Disbursement Timing

For a first-year first-time undergraduate Direct Loan borrower the first Direct Loan disbursement will be made after the student has completed the applicable 30 day waiting period and satisfied all requirements set forth in the Disbursements section above. For all other students, federal aid disbursements will be processed following the add/drop period for the first session of the applicable academic year or loan period. Disbursement will occur once the student has been certified for all eligible federal aid and has satisfied all the requirements set forth in the Disbursement section above.

For subsequent disbursements within an academic year or loan period, the second disbursement will occur after the student has successfully completed at least one-half of the credit hours and weeks of instructional time in the applicable academic year or loan period and satisfied all requirements set forth in the Disbursement section above. Subsequent disbursements thereafter will occur after the student has successfully completed the prior academic year or payment period and satisfied all requirements set forth in the Disbursements section above.
