Bachelor of Science in Leadership Requirements

 

Degree Semester Hour Requirement

A minimum of 120 semester hours

Residency Requirement

A minimum of 30 semester hours must be completed at Trident.

Upper Division Semester Hour Requirement

A minimum of 32 upper division semester hours

Course Requirements

 

General Education

A minimum of 36 semester hours are required to meet degree requirements, these can be met through a combination of specific General Education coursework and Core requirements that also meet General Education competencies.

The Leadership General Education requirements are:

Arts and Humanities competency met in Program Core
English Composition 8
College Mathematics 4
Physical and Biological Sciences 8
Social and Behavioral Sciences 4
Information and Technology Literacy 4

See General Education requirements for a list of courses that are available to meet these requirements. Students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Leadership may satisfy the GE math and science requirements with 8 semester hours of math and 4 semester hours of science.

College Mathematics is satisfied by concentration coursework in the Management concentration.

Core Special Instructions

MGT 423 Organizational Development and Change may not be taken until all other concentration courses have been successfully completed. A minimum grade of “C” is required in MGT 423 to meet graduation requirements.

General Electives

Students who select the Interdisciplinary Studies concentration will complete 20 semester hours of general elective courses to bring totals up to 120 semester hours. Students who select the Management concentration will complete 24 semester hours of general elective courses to bring totals up to 120 semester hours.
